# A. Employer Benefits & Policies Questionnaire
In the first part of the process, BCG captures important information about company policies, practices and demographics in the Employer Questionnaire (EQ), worth approximately 25% of your overall program score.
The primary contact will receive a link to the EQ from an **@bestcompaniesgroup.com** email address.
You may have difficulty finding some requested information, so please set aside a few hours to complete it. You can’t make the list without it! To start gathering your responses, click the sample survey link on the program website. If you do not know your specific program's website, you may find it at [https://bestcompaniesgroup.com/programs/](https://bestcompaniesgroup.com/programs/) or email [support@bestcompaniesgroup.com](mailto:support@bestcompaniesgroup.com).
Please note, if you have not logged into (tried to access) the online EQ by the deadline, your organization will not be automatically removed from the process. If applicable, your employees will still receive their surveys a little later on in the process.
**What does BCG do with the submission?** If your organization makes the list, the authorized media partner will receive the information you provide for use in the list-related issue of their publication and/or website, as well as for “spotlight” information on each organization should an awards function occur. Therefore, please leave blank, or mark “N/A,” anywhere BCG requests information about your company that you do not wish for the partner(s) to receive.
**How can I get a copy of my EQ submission?**
We recommend that you print each page of the online submission as you are going through the EQ to save the answers you want to keep. After notifications of list or non list-making status have been sent we can provide an Excel export of your answers. This would be several weeks after the survey process ends. Please email **support@bestcompaniesgroup.com** with your request and include your company name and the program name (ie "Best Places to Work in New Jersey").
**Do all BCG "best places to work" programs have the Employer Questionnaire component?**
Most of our "best" programs do include the Employer Questionnaire survey component. A few select programs may not include this portion, and the scores and rankings will be solely based on the Employee Engagement & Satisfaction Survey. Winning organizations may be asked to complete a marketing profile at a later date, including, but not limited to, a company biography, logo, website, photos of employees. If you are unsure if your program includes the Employer Questionnaire component, you can view your specific program website by searching for it at https://bestcompaniesgroup.com/programs/. Look under the Process tab. If the Employer Questionnaire is in the drop-down, then the program has this component. Or you may contact **support@bestcompaniesgroup.com** to confirm.
