A detailed summary of our most commonly requested enhancement options.
All enhancement options are for an additional fee. Submit a ticket to learn more.
Option 1: Modifying the Job Role & Department (JRD) selections:
This allows your organization to change from the program standard options to more internally aligned options, with up to 25 selections per category. When choosing your custom JRD demographics you’ll need to categorize them so that you would have at least 5 responses in each category, for employee confidentiality purposes. If the standard JRD don’t align well with your organization, you might have a situation like this example where several employees selected the “Other” option.
Option 2: Adding additional demographics:
If you'd like to break out your responses by location, manager, business unit, or something else specific to your organization, this is how you accomplish that! This option is also helpful if you want to consider sharing your data into a different industry or regional programs. Adding a demographic question allows us to separate the responses that are eligible for competition in different programs.
Option 3: Pre-assigning employee demographics:
For this, you provide an email list showing the demographic selections for each email address. For example, if you are customizing job roles, departments and locations, you would supply us with the email address, job role, department and location for each employee. We would attach those identifiers to employees’ responses rather than allowing them to self-select those responses on the survey. This ensures 100% accuracy of the data responses, removing the possibility of employees selecting incorrect demographics.
Option 4: Surveying additional eligible program or ineligible non-program employees:
You might want to include more employees than the random sample, which is the standard offering. This table shows how many employees are randomly selected based on organization size:
Number of Eligible Employees | Number of employees randomly selected |
up to 250 | ALL |
251-499 | 250 |
500-2499 | 350 |
2500+ | 400 |
If your company would like to survey above the random sample for your company size, or would like to survey employees outside of the program area, submit a ticket and we can help you learn more about that process and the associated fees.
Option 5: Adding customized questions to the end of the standard survey:
Each question can come in one of six formats:
a) Agree/disagree scale
b) Yes/No format
c) Open-ended
d) Multiple-choice
e) Select all that apply
f) Ranking (1-10)
g) NPS format (Net Promoter Score)
You have the ability to choose the type of question and response that would most benefit your organization. My advice is if you are seeking a high-level response, I'd go with the Yes/No or agree/disagree format answers. However, if you want to obtain more specific feedback to the question, then the open-ended response may be the better choice. For example, if you are asking a question about a significant recent organizational change, an open-ended format would certainly provide you with the most detail of your employees’ thoughts about that change, while a multiple-choice format would allow you to easily view the responses in aggregate form.
Option 6: Sorting your Employee Comments Report by a demographic:
The last two questions on the standard employee survey are open-ended. You have the option to receive your comments report sorted by a demographic of your choice (such as location, age, gender, etc.), rather than in alphabetical order with no demographic tags.
